I just wanted to check with the XD40 4" owners to make sure that Federal HST 165 or 180gr runs good in their xd....This is my preferred round for my 9mm guns. I finally bought my first 40cal. ANyway...hopefully the HST's feed fine in everyone elses XD40. Ive heard they have problems with Hydrashoks.....

XD will eat anything you feed it. I have shot a LOT through my XD40 and have never had so much as a hiccup. I have shot Federal HST both 165 and 180 and both fed fine.

I have never had any problems with any ammo in my XD40. I probably have 800 rounds through mine with many different brands and have never had any problems. This is a great gun.

Well, I ran a box of 165gr HST's thru the XD40 Thursday. Along with a box of gold dots and now a total of 400 FMJ's. Not a single hiccup. I really the 40 round. I cant believe I waited so long to own one.

if it didn't feed it I would sell it real quick. The HST is my preferred ammo in 9mm and in 40.

Just a repeat of what has been posted my 9mm & .45 compact XD's have never had a problem with any ammo I have ever fed them. Including over 250 rounds of HST through each of them. I always shoot at least 250 rounds of what ever ammo I plan to use as my SD ammo in my carry gun to assure 100% reliability / compatability before I actually carry it.

I favor Federal 165, .40 ammo for target. Never had a FTF or any problem. Damn I love the XDs! Ha!
