Anyone shoot the Black Hills .45 JHP?

Well, just so you have at least one response, I ordered 6 boxes of the 230 grain +P JHP a couple of years ago, thinking it was using the Speer Gold Dot bullet. Turns out they had just changed to using the Hornady XTP bullet. More of a hunting/penetration bullet. I was disappointed.

They all shot fine in my Kimber and S&W M&P, but I don't carry them and won't reorder. I can buy Winchester or Federal 230 grain +P in nickeled cases and with an arguably better bullet for self defense cheaper. I think they are overpriced and there is really nothing about them to justify it.

I've used the FMJ 230 grain for classes. I worked but it was expensive.
