Maybe it was in Jersey?
And apparently the LEO doesn't know a lot about the Military either...

Was watching the show "over the limit" Officer found a gun on the kid,, Hi-Point 9mm.. But had JHP's in it,, The officer said and I quoate "Where did you get the hollow points they are for Law Enforcement and Military only"?? The show was on today,, But this must taped a long time ago. LOL I get mine at wal-mart,, And thats what the kid said too,,
Wal Mart is actually offering more PD ammo than I've seen in a few years. I'm sure they follow the market since they are (in) the market. What sells should be on the shelves. You've still got to be 21 years of age to buy pistol ammo in most states. I'm plenty old enough in years to buy any ammo without much question. Thing is.......so many pistol cartridges also work in rifles to include 22lr and many others. Kids.......if you're a retailer.......beware. Real life...not some show.
I saw that same show last week, and thought "how dumb is this cop" to not know hollow points are legal to carry in 49 states. But then, the cameras were rolling... maybe the bright lights gave him brain fade.

Where did you get the ammo? How about, "Where did you get the gun?"

He might have been trying to "put the bull" on the kid. If he was serious, it's a prime example why you do NOT ask a street cop about gun laws. Despite what it seems, a lot of cops are NOT "gun people". They carry one, practice twice a year, and that's it.
You want some police & military ammo...
If you got the cash, I got the hookup. Lets work it out...
I am sorry I guess,, the kid,, was of legal age to buy a firearm, And ammo,, He said he had the license, "at home" He said he bought the "hi-point" at the pawn shop,,
I hope those were not COP KILLER hollow points that defeat body armor and shoot through engine blocks.
Most all of our ammo comes from walmart except for the box or two we have gotten when making a gun purchase and every time I buy ammo at walmart I get carded.
