Federal. I have been using it for a number of years with no problems to speak of, even with stash ammo that was five or six years old. Don't have a least favorite as I don't use others.

My 10/22s don't do well with any bulk-pack ammo, but that's possibly because 3 of the 4 have aftermarket barrels with match chambers. The worst of the worst, however, are anything from Remington, and Winchester Xpert (might not even be available now) and Wildcat. Drop by my place and I'll give you two cartons of the Win Xpert HP, probably about 900 rounds, with my compliments.

Not quite bulk pack but definitely lower cost is Federal's American Eagle, which comes in 'bricks' of 10 40-round boxes. Got my Appleseed 'Rifleman' rating with that ammo.

I've always liked the Remington 22LR. I'm not a big fan of the plated bullets.....I'd rather have the lead solids or HPs. I've tried plenty of plinking ammo, and plinking is one thing, target shooting or hunting is another. Any of my bulk 22LR ammo purchases pretty much revolve around target/hunting. Winchester is a second best for me depending. Federal for me is under-powered for what I expect out of 22LR ammo. Just my personal feelings, and what I know from experience. If you want to know more about 22LR, I'd suggest getting into one of my favorite forums for 22LR specifically and asking more questions. It's a forum I support as well, (and it seems that I support the best and most informative forums for specifics).......rimfirecentral.com.

    Me too.

It all seems sub-par these days. I don't like any bulk ammo but it serves a good purpose for practice and plinking. Eley Tenex is a little pricey for just burning off.

The using bulk ammo really depends on the gun . I have tried Remington's 550/525 bulks, Federal 550 bulk, and Winchester 333 wildcat in my P22 and found that only the remingtons have the power. All of them work fine in my riflle.

The gun that will probably do most of the firing would be a Glock with an Advantage Arms .22LR conversion kit.

I have had really good luck with Federal 40gr bulk. I bought a box of cci blazer, and they are OK. Seem to jam more then the federal.

Dynapoints were the ammo of choice for years. Have not seen it on shelves for a few years.

Federal feeds in all my rifles and handguns great, including a M16 with Ciener Full Auto conversion.Remington seemed to cause FTF problems way too often and cases seemed to be out of spec
