    Drt .380

Just bought my first box of DRT for my Walther PPK/S .380. Figured if I was gonna carry such a light caliber, I may as well get a lot of bang and stopping power out of it.

Any thoughts, aka, does anyone have any experience shooting this ammo?

What's the best target to try it out on? (Water jugs, pop bottles, dummy filled with Balistic gel, etc.) There's not a whole lot on YouTube on this stuff.

Look http://drtammo.com/ here for more info.
Lead free frangible bullet that supposedly will "drop" a target almost instantly. Kind of like a super-hydro shock.

I really don't know about this stuff . Might be good, but I am a pretty conventional guy and prefer conventional bullets. I hope it works for you.

I'm not familiar with the round, but IMO the best .380 round out there is gonna be the BuffaloBore 100gr +P HardCast FlatNose stuff. That's all I carry in my PPK and P238 for defense. The ballistic numbers are about as high as I've ever seen for the .380 and from my experience at the range with um, I'd trust it to do the job as well as my .38 +p truth be told. JMO, but what good is a round that will breakup on impact effectively eliminating the penetration factor, which in the smaller calibers is so important. To me that kinda defeats the purpose.

Super light, super fast, with sub-standard penetration.

    Check out testing at www.theboxotruth.com

Is that better than the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch?

Back on task all of you! I'll sick my wrabbit on ya.

I didn't find anything much on the boxotruth website except an excellent website that I've really enjoyed.

Anyone actually use this ammo and test results or will I be the first to try it on a water-filled pumpkin?

    ...and radioactive OC spray.

I like my KelTec P-3AT, but it's an 'in your eye' weapon, so I'm not really concerned about a 'special' ammo.OMO

While there has been exhaustive discussion on what works best for .380, I'd say that you'd probably be better off using something for maximum penetration, rather than a frangible round. This might be "safe" around others, but it'll be so safe it probably won't even really hurt the bad guy.
