Thumbs up 380 ammo is everywhere.....

I was at a walmart super center yesterday and found all kinds of 380 ammo!!
It was almost falling off of the shelves!! I almost bought some Tula ammo but dicovered it was berdan primed and steel cased I backed out. I did get some federal ammo just to add to my stash.

Saw some at my WM too. I even saw quite a few boxes of Federal "Champion" (blue box?) in .45 ACP. That's the first time for any .45 ACP since 2008. I think the .380 I saw was priced comparable to online prices, before shipping.

The Tula ammo was 14.95, the Remington and Winchester was 18.95. I bought the Federal American Eagle for 16.95

went shopping yesterday for ammo and found .380 auto in the Remington UMC yellow bulk pack of 250 rounds for $100 at Gander mountain. ***?! There has to be a better price than 40 cents per round!

A year ago you had to buy .380 ammo if and when you could find it because you knew it wouldn't be there long. Now its available in all the gun stores and prices are finally getting better.

For awhile there .380 ammo you couldn't find anywhere at a reasonable price. I better let my buddy know he better snatch it up before the prices go up again.

For my CCW qualification a year ago I called so many gun shops and ranges looking for .380. Most of the ranges told me that it was for use on their range only and the gun stores had a one box limit (I needed 2 boxes). I had to show up at my favorite gun shop and talk them into letting me buy a second box of .380 for my qualification.

I have no problem finding .380 now... go figure haha. I still haven't seen it at my Walmart yet though but I'll have to keep my eyes peeled.

Finally found some for less than $0.32 per round: Winchester 380 auto at Wal-Mart. I grabbed 200 right away.

in the past .380 ammo was only produced once a year in november. the 9mm lines are broken down and enough .380 is produced to last the year....with the popularity of the mouse guns and increased use of .380 it became scarce fast the last couple of years...its that time of year again so expect to see it on the shelves...with the number of .380s still hitting the market i would stock up...

For the first time in almost 2 years now, I was able to find and purchase 2 boxes of .380 at Wally's, but they cost about 18 bucks a box. And, I got the last 2 on the shelf.

My local Dick's now has this stuff three boxes deep and two shelves high.
Demand is now high for it.

Prices per round though puts it as much, if not more!, than .45 ACP (!) which is ridiculous if you stop and think about what you're paying for and by that getting.

    .38 Special > Mfr.: Remington

Note: I specifically selected mfr. 'Remington' because they are found everywhere in the US _AND_ Remington 'Green Box' target/training ammo in specific is ubiquitous being at gun shops, Dick's and WalMart's across the nation. Comparing apples to apples.

Different parts of the country must have a limited distributorship, here in Idaho I always have been able to get .380 in any quantity and most manufacturers including S&B and the crappy Wolf stuff. I just purchased Corbon and Hornady XTP and two boxes of PDX 1. Wally world sells the stuff for $11.00 per 50
