The permanent hearing damage and flash blinding is just not true. I have tested both outside in dark and in a vehicle with golden sabre 125 gr, buffalo bore 125gr, and 158gr wadcutters as well as a couple different 38+P ammo, I was not only not rendered deaf, but not blinded.... yeah yeah yeah bad for my hearing.... like the rock concerts I went to as a kid or all the time I spent firing weapons and time on the flightline werent
The most common comments were on the logic of .38 vs .357 based on possible hearing loss.
SHOT PLACEMENT, not which round to use, seems to be the consensus.
In response to your parting shot, I don't think anyone would care to stand in front of a .22 much less anything else.
