    Extreme Shock rounds

    Extreme Shock

Anyone heard of them? Anyone ever fire them, in particular in an XD40? Heard of any real-world results on penetration and energy dissipation? Looking at either the AFR (Air Freedom Round) or the Fang Face.

CWP instructor was recommending them for a defensive round to minimize collateral damage. They peaked my interest since we've got a 3-month old in the house.

Instructor already said they were pricey. Just did a search, and it appears that what I thought was true... all hype.

Extreme Shock? Aren't these the ones you charge at a 220v outlet before loading them in the mag? Then on impact they discharge, causing the same damage as a lightning strike . . .

Sorry. I was born silly and had a relapse. Guess I picked a bad day ta quit sniffin' glue . . .
    Cheers,

A magsafe or glaser might work better for less over penetration.

I agree. Glaser or MagSafe for indoors. Well, for me it's all I carry as a primary load, mixed with RBCD. Spare mag is Cor-Bon, Hydra-Shok or Golden Saber.
