at your local Wal-mart? I haven't seen any in over 2 months. I wonder what is going on?

I reload, but as far as I know our stores have a supply

.45 ACP supply is low due to the recall of Federal (?) .45 IIRC and people are stocking up in case the prices go up again.

My local store has a few boxes on the shelf.
Only a few boxes of Tul .45, and that's after several weeks of nothing.
If you're looking for 40 S&W, though... my wally world is drowning in the stuff.

I have only bought two types of ammo from Wal-Mart; Federal 'Field & Target' rounds for my 12ga, and some Winchester .22 shorts for my old Winchester bolt action rifle. The rest of my ammo, I get from Georgia Arms; and I have never had any problems with their products.
You can get a bag of 50 230gr fmjs, for around $19.
Wal-Mart ammo stocks seem to come and go .... one day you can't find any 9mm, then a week later there's all sorts of 9mm and no .357. It's odd for a company that has the product distribution data that Wal-Mart has. I honestly think they rotate available ammo in stores around some policy that prevents any one store from having a sustained run on one type of ammo. Why? Don't ask me that, just my observation.
I've bought ammo in local Wal-Mart's and in a myriad of Wal-Marts along my routes of normal travel, which is pretty frequent travel, and this patter seems to repeat itself over and over.

I was @ wal mart in Chesterfield Mi, the other day,(M-59 and I-94) and they had probably more than you could buy at one time.
Was at Dunhams SGoods Roseville Mi. store B4 that, and they had a boat load of just about every caliber(popular) and even a few hard to get.
Meijers had 10-20 boxes on up of 9, 40, 45, but 380 they only had maybe 10.
I would Imagine Cabelas and Gander MT. would have had even more.
Wal mart had, Federal FMJ for 10.57/50rd. and WWhite box 22.97/100
Dunhams had UMC 250 pks for , either $62 or 69. for 9mm.
Also had the same for 40 & 45 only a bit higher.

I haven't been able to buy a box of .45's at my local Walmart for almost 2 years now. They never have any stocked. Luckily the CAL-Ranch store ALWAYS has .45 ammo on there shelves.

The 100rd Winchester is 32.95 at our Walmart when in stock and always in stock at Gander for 49. that's part of it and the other is I am at Walmart 2 to 3 times per week when they get some in usually 5 boxes every 6 weeks I buy what they have. Sorry guys, I start leaving some on the shelf for the rest of you.
I just got back from my WM. No .45 at all, except for one (only one) box of Remy UMC - for $19.95. No thanks.
WalMarts in Central and West Texas seem to have supplies.
Since I handload I don't purchase .45 ACP.

Agreed, my local wally world is always out of 45 but it is to expensive there anyhow. Dan's ammo is a great place if you like Fiocchi. 15.99 a box if you get a case. Natchez also has a lot of 45 right now and it is on sale. Mostly for 16-17.99 a box. Not bad even with some shipping cost added in.
It's not a problem til they make it one!
