Would these be suitable for self defense if need be?

I picked up a couple of boxes and they gave no problems at all. I plan on grabbing more next time I'm at wallyworld. Accuracy was ok too. Rubicon

This was all the JHP we could get up here for the longest time, can't speak about penetration or expansion, but no Failures to feed or fire out of several hundred rounds.

I havn't shot the .45 JHP, but have shot several boxes of the Remington 230 FMJ .45 and 115gr FMJ 9mm. Both were very dirty shooting ammo, it didn't seem to burn all the powder and was very smokey, (shot in an indoor range).
