Does anyone have any information on Corbons DPX 140gr. in
regards to this ammo's ability to incapacitate a BG?
I have searched this internet for any shootings related to this ammo and found nothing! I know Corbon claims it can go through an arm and still hit a vital area in the body but
before I use this ammo I try to see if this ammo has earned a name in the streets!
Any info would be appreciated.
The CorBon is very good indeed. But don't start looking for that magic bullet, it doesn't exist. There are many quality rounds on the market that do well. So check them all out, you may find a better deal.
Ignorance is a long way from stupid, but left unchecked, can get there real fast.
I did backyard ballistics on the 115 grain Corbon DPX........
with wet newspaper in milk jugs lined up in a row with 4 layers of blue jeans
the bullet expanded to almost 3/4 inch and penetrated 15 inches
(Very good numbers vs. others I tested)
I would expect a little better performance out of the 40

What non-shooter are YOU planning on taking to the range?
The DPX round is one of the best overall performing bullets on the market for self defense. They expanded very reliably and even more importantly have adequate penetration. I carry 185gr +P in my Glock30 and have the same loaded in my USP.
