    Hornady TAP FPD

    has anyone tried this Hornady TAP FPD? is this a good ammo for SD? i saw a new batch of these in my LGS and got curious i've read a lot of good feedbacks regarding the Critical Defense and i was wondering how does this Hornady TAP compare vs. the Critical Defense.

    That is my carry ammo in all my .45's...
    1911, G-21 and G-30.
    I've been very happy with it. I have never tried it an any cal. Other then .45 though.

    I use Hornady TAP for my 5.56 option.

    I hear that special "Flex Tip"/polymer-insert of the Critical Defense might be nice, if you're worried about hollow point clogging. Just from my experience, TAP seems to expand a lil more.

    BTW:

    Lucky Gunner has some good prices on Hornady ammo.

    that's my carry load in my Glock 32 and 33. 147gr @ 1250 fps. Heavy and fast.
