Well first I'll ask is this a gun of the month need/want to try something new to find that perfect carry piece? If so you're on your own to find what you like.
Next I'll remind you that if you're into barrel swapping the .40s have the ability to go 9 or .357, which can be a cost effective manner to try something new for range days.
After that if you're not shooting them and you're not carrying them and you can put the money gained from selling them at a loss to better use, then by all means, go ahead.

I am not a fan of the 40 S&W either, never understand why S&W developed it. If you want something large give me the .357 mag or the 45 acp they are hard to beat.

You could buy 357 Sig barrels for them. No other changes needed.
