You need to post some links to back up this statement. Looking at the info published by Winchester the .380 Ranger T does about 7.9" with .65" of total diameter. The 9x19mm 147gr Ranger T does 14.5" with .66" of total diameter. The .380 rounds on the market average between 200 and 220 pounds/ft of muzzle energy. The 9x19 averages 320+ pounds/ft of muzzle energy. How are the two so similar again?

I do believe a .380 can do the job. I prefer something a little more, but it isn't exactly a slingshot and a rock.

Hey! I saw that movie too....

    Is the 9mm powerful enough?

Yeah, it's powerful enough; so are all the other calibers.

Google stopping power statistics, you'll find that the better 9mm loads are as good as any and better than most.

Had a 220lb,5'10"man killed with a daisy pellet rifle from 20',his 9 year old son accidently shot him,it penetrated his breast plate and lodged in his heart.A robber was shot 4 times with a .45 last month and walked off, it's all shot placement!

If my first HP round wont stop the threat, more will come until the threat is controlled.

Given a choice, I'd always carry a Barrett in .50 cal
And if that don't do the job, call in an air strike.
