Velocity-Energy Comparisons for 9mm JHP Rounds in a 3.12 Barrel

testing by Gunsite in the 2012 edition of Concealed Carry Magazine

revealed that a 1 reduction in barrel length reduces a 124 grain rounds velocity by 80 FPS. This being the case, the following stats have been compiled by the author for some top-tier SD loads. Almost all manufacturers test their loads from a 4" test barrel
