Oddly enough, nothing at all on their website about it.
Disclaimer:
My opinion shouldn't be taken seriously due to the fact that I've been shooting guns for over 30 years and have only recently been active on gun forums, where all the real world knowledge apparently is.

If it's on facebook it must be true. Maybe they're handing them out to 21 or older trick-or-treaters at ammo stores on halloween.

I thought that's what V-max stood for? I already have my Winchester 10mm Silvertip for werewolves.

I am disappointed to see a major ammo mfgr involved in this kind of promotion.

We're talking about Hornady. The premiere provider of boutique ammo for every niche that they can convince the new gun owner that they need. I actually appreciate that they can poke a little fun at themselves.

It is an amusing little ad campaign in the Halloween season. I might just have to buy a box for the show and tell factor. Video didn't do much for me but the commercial art was good.

It's a marketing thing. Zombies are cool right now. Heck even the stodgy CDC http://www.bt.cdc.gov/socialmedia/zombies_blog.asp is getting, tongue in cheek, in on the action.
Don't be such a curmudgeon :-D
