I'd buy all of Hornady ammo made if it got Milla Jovovich to come to my house. That documentary series is Resident Evil (and the first one is still the best). If they would have had Hornady Zombie Max back then, it would have been a different story.

I think it is a pretty slick bit of marketing. The majority of sales have been to folks who just want to have a few boxes for their novelty effect. Should Hornady be embarrassed for marketing this particular product? Yes, I think so, however, God bless capitalism.

Zombie max ammo is a self defense ammo the uses a critical defense bullet with a hot load ( 9mm is running 1200fps)
The bullet has the center filled with plastic so when you shoot through clothing they don't fill with trash and are allow expanding in soft tissue.
Redneck’s say they are good stuff..Just so you know it’s a bonded bullet and retains almost all of its weight

I don't get the zombie thing these days. On tv, radio, and now ammo. You all will have to forgive me, but I do my best to live in the stone age, and am out of the loop. What is this zombie rage? A movie or video games?

IMHO it started with the Resident Evil movies and reached critical mass with the AMC network's introduction of The Walking Dead series last year. It's a fad, and will eventually die off (unless it comes back to life again...lol)

Heck- I like the critical defense, and all my carry guns have the zombie ammo in them. It's the same thing, just a buck less per box where I bought it. I like it. Who cares if it is green or red.

That's exactly why I won't get any ZMax either. I think it's a hilarious marketing stunt and shows a good sense of humor. But how do you answer when it comes up in criminal or civil court?
