44 MAG Mishap with Chinese Ammunition BAD

First it was baby formula, then pet food, but now you should Watch out when buying anything from China, including bright, Shiny ammunition.

A man entered a police department and had a S&W 629 (.44 Mag) that he wanted to dispose of after a mishap at the range. He said there was a loud bang when he tested his new ammo (Chinese made), and the gun smacked him in the forehead, leaving a nice gash. When the tweety birds cleared from around His head, the pictures show what he saw.

Bet he never uses Chinese made ammo again!

Looks like when the round in the chamber went off, It also set off at least two other rounds in adjacent cylinders. I would have hated to been the one that pulled the trigger on That one!

My head and hands hurt just looking at that. He's lucky he wasn't hurt worse than he was.

Have you? I didn't know that.. a friend of mine emailed it to me this morning. eh, oh well, still a picture is worth a thousand words. Whatever story it has been posted with before, I guess it doesn't really matter what the story is, the picture speaks for itself and for those who have never seen it before, it's kinda an eye opener.

Heck,,,,,I think the S&W armory could have that mess hammered out in a couple of hours.

Gotta be a double/triple charged reload.

    Don't drink and reload ammunition.

Such a shame to lose such a beautiful Smith' like that... Especially a .357.

Kinda scares me to think about how much 'bang' was in that cartridge; it blew apart a S&W .357 magnum.

And it's a completely BS story, as well.

Yup. It has long ago (many years) been proven that this was a case of double-charged handloads. The "Chinese ammo" excuse is new one on me.

Again, so it's not Chinese ammo. So a friend emailed me something "I" had not seen posted before. So, it "may" have been double charged hand loads. As far as I care now, it could be triple charged hand loads. Fact still remains, pictures are worth a thousand words. These are obviously getting them. Some people "might" have seen them before, with another story. Some may not have ever seen them before (like me). They are still quite a sight for those who have not seen them.

It's the Internet,it was posted quite awhile back that it was an overcharged reload, and within a few years it has now come full circle only this time the Chinese are involved.
We dis something like this almost 50 years ago,A Teacher had us sit in a circle, she then whispered something in one kids ear, then that child whispered it to the next kid until it had been passed a round the circle, the last kid was asked what he had heard and it wasn't even close to the original sentence
