    Unlike the earlier versions of 147 gr. JHPs that hit the market, the 147 gr. Gold Dots usually expanded.

    I've only trusted the +P version as loaded by Double Tap in my gun if wanted to use 147 at all.

    When in doubt, buy Gold Dots, they have been working for decades and don't need any fancy gimmicks
    to make them expand.

    There might be newer designs on the market (HST, TAC-XP, PDX) that MIGHT be better, but they are far less proven than
    the Speer Gold Dot bullet.
