This is a neat website regarding ammo penetration: The Box O' Truth - Ammo Penetration Testing.

Though not done in a scientific lab, the guy's experiments with different ammo types is interesting.

The guy is obviously pointing out a website he found interesting that some members may not know about.Even though his experiments aren't scientific,they still show what a certain bullet may do under similar circumstances.

I was once in a discussion about overpenetration of .223/5.56 as a H/D cartridge.
The problem was, Box of Truth had tests on both sides of the argument.
One test showed bullets fragmenting when shot through a maze of dowels.
Another test showed bullets easily penetrating plywood and drywall intact.
How could this be?
They cherry picked their ammo to make the results come out the way they wanted.

Still, I love watching their tests, just be aware of the lack of science.

It does show how some loads perform, relative to each other. This direct comparison could prove helpful to some people.

Classic website. If you are unfamiliar with Box of Truth, get acquainted - lots of interesting stuff in there. Old Painless is the guy who introduced me to the advantages of loading up with No. 1 Buck for HD.

There's also information on the site about other things related to shooting, not just ammo. The shotgun section should be required reading for anybody contemplating the "rack 'em and stack 'em" option.
