Should work just fine. Gold Dots are a premium ammo and the ones you have are the same ones that the NYPD use I believe. Should be a great choice as long as they work in your pistol.

Good stuff. My preferred load for 9mm, as I have a heck of a time finding HST.

I use GD in my .40. I use Win Ranger T 147 grain in 9mm because that was what was cheapest when I bought ammo last for 9mm.

Since here they believe that Winchester Ranger T-Series is their perferred responsive rounds, they buy that from the Winchester Rep.
I personally carry Speer GD +P or Winchester Ranger +P in my 9mm PPS. The Double Tap .357 Sig 147gr goes in about November and I switch back in April to Winchester Ranger T-Series .357 Sig 125gr. when carring the P2K SK. Either GD, HST, or T-Series you can go wrong with as long as you place them "On Target".

Shorter barrels never attain advertised velocities. Disagreements are certainly forthcoming, but I prefer the lighter +p rounds out of smaller weapons. Load up a mag with each and try them out. Choose for yourself based upon feel/results.

Have you tried the Speer gold dot short barrel ammo? I use the .45acp 230 grain jhp short barrel ammo in my amt backup. Works every time. Get mine at cheaper than dirt. speciallt designed to expand with the lower velocity of a short barrel.

Gold Dots are a great round for 9mm. Like it was stated before, the NYPD, our Sheriff's office and a bunch of other dept's use them.
One more step and it's on!
