That's typical for NJ isnt it? That state is so out of touch with the rest of the U.S. that it is no suprise.

If I didn't know better I would swear I lived in a different country! Surely makes me wonder why in the hell did I join the Marines and fight for our citizen rights as a free country??????

N.J. Cali, D.C., Chicago, NYC, all have draconian gun laws. I have NO...NO...NO...NO... sympathy for those who live there. Get organized, get involved, and VOTE the SOB's out.

Politicians, no matter where they are at don't care about laws. They DO care about getting reelected. Show them the results of being an anti and they will change.

If it does pass and they do attempt a general ban on ammunition it will be struck down. Part of the reasoning SCOTUS used in Heller against D.C. was the requirement that guns stored in the home be disassembled. That rendered them useless for personal defense. A ban on ammunition would have the same effect.

NJ is as Liberal Left Wing as it gets.............anti gun, Pro gay Marrige...what else ?
Worst firearm laws, taxes, insurance costs, property taxes and on and on..........but you can make money here.
People make their money here and then move for retirement.....IMO it's a heaven for criminals....practically everyone here is defenseless outside their homes...so why wouldn't they ban anything related to firearms and ammo....heck.....you can't even legally own a Slingshot or Rubberband Gun here either.

The sad thing is, I think ol Gov Fatso would sign a bill like that into law.

You cannot carry hollowpoints or use them in a crime--but you can shoot them at a range and use HP for home defense!

They won't do it. Consider how it would make it difficult for them to use their guns, or their bodyguards if they banned ammo. They don't want YOU to have a firearm, that's all.

I carry hollow points in NJ under LEOSA which allows me to carry the ammunition used by active duty LEO's in my State. This would not change. I have had numerous NJ LEO's state that they wish they could carry hollow points in their guns.

As far as the laws being described in the OP, if I lived in NJ and they passed, I'd be moving out, soonest!
