Ammo prices heading up?

"Federal 550 bulk packs .22 cal went to $20 a box today at our walmart..."

Has anyone else seen a spike in ammo prices the last day or two?

I'm stocking up just in case. With the increase in fuel prices combined with the political issues I can see a shortening supply very quickly.

I was in my LGS today to have my bow worked on. He is not the cheapest on ammo but I usually buy from him anyway.
His PMC Bronze 9mm fmj 115gr (practice ammo) is usually 12.50 for a 50rd box. Up to 14.95 today.
Was the first I had noticed any price hikes.

its also a supply/demand issue, so basicly bend over cause we know your gunna buy it anyway.

the cost of everything will go up because of economic reasons to complicated (and political) to go into here and because the price of energy used to manufacture and deliver goods is going straight up. ammo hasn't been too bad lately but that will soon change

Deju vu. I heard the same rumor almost a year ago. The ammo prices didn't jump. Maybe the prices will move, maybe they won't. I wouldn't worry about it. Not much we can do about it. I try to worry about things I can control.

I haven't noticed an increase in prices, but I have noticed a decrease in availability around here. Harder to find a lot of the premium self defense loads.

That's what I'm seeing too, but I just chocked it up to CCW becoming legal.

I believe wwe will see the same kind of increase in ammo that we see in food, etc..
