    Does caliber size really matter?

    My main purpose for a weapon is for ccw. I carry a g36 .45. From what I have read recently most shootings are at close range and seems all ammo have had about the same results at those ranges. So that's where my question come in. Does size really matter if yor shooting someone from less than 6 feet away?

    I am a firm believer in shot placement over caliber. You hit someone clean in the heart from 6 feet it's not going to matter if it's a .38 or a .44 or a 9mm.

    I cannot give you a technical answer, but set one of you .45 rounds next to say - a 9mm round. Which one would you rather be shot with.
    I think your G36 is a very good choice.
