I'd be really curious to see how the fed hst ammo performs in the same test. And I would have thought the same since they flare when fired into a bucket of water. Even when given the different density of each media I would have thought they'd open at least a little?Quote:

Yeah, thats what I had thought, also, I watched a few tests on youtube, of the PDX1 and the first test it failed to open, so I traded out all my PDX1's and put in all GoldDots, the testing on the HST's were great, they opened up very nicely... Well, I sort of miss my G30 in a way....yet I'm doing well now without. I still like the Remington Golden Saber for 45ACP. 185gr+p....200gr+p.....etc.

Well I went out and tested the PDX1,GoldDots, and Rangers, into the wet sand they sure didn't make it far into it LOL.. this time they all opened up, the Ranger seperated from the jacket and the PDX1 and gold dots did not but were more in the shape of a ball... think next time I take some old carry ammo out to shoot I will cut the sand in half and add some wet newspapers in there... LOL wish I had some Balistic gel ...
