I have had only very positive experiences with SGammo.com.

I first recommend HSTs but Gold Dots are also excellent. HSTs are designed to expand to 2x their original diameter. Because of their bonded construction, GDs are going to give a little bit less expansion and slightly deeper penetration. Both have very high to complete weight retention in ballistics tests I have seen. You won't go wrong with either choice.

I wouldn't feel bad carrying around Federal HST, but Gold Dot is my antibiotic of choice.

Either load in 165gr will serve you well. Run three boxes of one through your gun, then stock up on that brand and never deviate.
There are four boxes to be used in the defense of liberty: soap - ballot - jury - ammo

My vote goes for the Speer Gold Dot 180 grain bullet. Kills stuff dead.
