10mm vs. 327 magnum which is better for home defense

You're making an assumption about others abilities. Many people are not overly recoil sensitive and can handle the heavier recoiling rounds with no issues whatsoever compared to the lighter rounds.

Back to the original topic, the real question is why would you consider light round that stings like a giant bee over any of the other commonly used SD rounds?

As someone already mentioned, the 327 mag round has been trying to justify it's existence since it came out. Can it be effective for home defense? Sure. But if you are going to use a gun to protect yourself you might as well go bigger for a nightstand gun. Sometimes bigger really is better. Especially if you can shoot the heavier, larger, rounds just as well as the lighter ones.

The 10mm is the better of the two options.

Well in 20+ years of shooting, I guess every single person I have ever seen is overly recoil sensitive

I'd go with the 10mm for home defense/self defense. No particular reason other than I think the 10mm will take someone out a lot better which in itself is reason enough.

10 MM More firepower 10 MM more Horsepower....give yourself the edge.

If you don't run a shotgun for home defense, and you can handle a 10, then a 10 is probably pretty tough to beat.

The 10mm definitely.

It's a lot easier to get a suppressor for the 10mm. That would solve the problem.

Maybe the loss of speed in follow up shots is made up for in bullet speed and diameter. I'm sure people can shoot it well, and it's an extremely devastating round. 9mm, 10mm. .357 sig, .357 magnum, .45acp, .44 special, etc are all good rounds in my opinion.
