Love the feedback, I am researching as much as I can, this is a new round for me. Currently have Hornady 147 JHP as that is all my LGS had in stock for this caliber.

Not that I dwell too much on gelatin tests... but I watched one from a poster on here (can't remember his name now) about the .357 Sig... and the Federal HST round was simply devastating. I had never before or since seen a gelatin test like that from any SD round. The hard part unfortunately is actually finding somebody who sells them. So I guess I'll settle for Gold Dots in a pinch.

    Found it

.357 SIG Federal HST Ammo Gel test - YouTube

All his testing is the best on the web IMO.

Speer's Gold Dots in either levels for the 125.

Double Tap 125 gr. Bonded Defense/ Gold Dots at 100 fps faster (advertised velocity)

but neither Speer or DT offers a currently available 147 gr. .357 SIG Gold Dot as we speak.
Doubletap Ammo 357 Sig 147 Grain Bonded Defense Jacketed Hollow Point

I've shot a bit of the DT 147 gr. Winchester load and really liked the lower recoil and amazing
accuracy, especially out of my Glock 33 and M&P 357 Compact.

I'd like to see the newer Double Tap 147 gr. Gold Dot at around, 1,280 fps if possible.

That's slower than the SPEER 125 GD for LE/Hornady 124 gr...yet nearly as fast than the mentioned Winchester JHP
    from a 3 inch barrel.

However, for the majority of those old and new to the .357 SIG, 125 is the magic number.

You can't really argue with its success in either the Gold Dot or Sierra JHP.

Unlike HST or some other designs that are hard to find sometimes, you can usually find
Gold Dots in local shops. or online at Midway (Double TAP) and elsewhere.

I actually like the Barnes X bullet from Double Tap as the TAC-XP in both 80 and 115 grain
    loads.

The 9mm 115 gr is street proven as the DPX from Cor-Bon, with the 125 gr. Sierra JHP in .357 SIG having good results
    as well.

I also like Cor-Bon's ammo but don't see much of it around me.

The great thing about the .357 SIG is that it has so much velocity/energy that most
any defensive loading is a good choice.

    I've shed myself of two 380s, 3 38+Ps, and a .357 Magnum to concentrate on .357 SIGs.

Both the cartridge and guns are gaining steam each week!

Everything I am seeing shows the 357 Sig to be a real winner. That is serious expansion with the HST.

From what I've read and looked at on You Tube, ect.

I have no doubt that the HST is excellent, but just not as street proven as say-
the Gold Dot in .357 SIG, or the Hydra-Shok in .45 ACP.

Could not find any HSTs which was my prefrence (I like federal) so I did get a box of Golddot 125s yesterday. As I can afford ammo, I will stock up on it.
