I have used very old ammo for slow fire on the range or in my revolvers. I don't use it for rapid fire in my semi-autos, because I don't think I would notice a squib in time to stop the next trigger pull.

I fired some .45 ACP from 1943 through a 1911 from WWI - worked great!

Yes, I was curious as to some 12 year old 9mm ammo that I had would fire.

450 of factory and reloaded 9mm thats been in a dry box since I moved to Clarkston,
that I'm selling locally, as I hate to ship ammo.

I had about 29 of loose rounds and shot them through my RAMI P the other day
    without incident.

They didn't seem to fizz out, nor were they any hotter than I can remember.

The oldest ammo I have fired is 15 year old Hydra Shocks. No, I take that back. I fired some WWII surplus ammo in a Garand several years ago. In any case, ammo that is stored correctly can last for many decades with no problem.
