Bud, in my experience CB has the least amount of flash. Winchester ST used to really light things up. Do not know about their current ST.

If I had to guess I'd say cheapie range ammo probably would have the biggest flame to it. Think about it, all the manufacturers try to keep muzzle flash down for the defense ammo so they probably dont care about the cheapie stuff since it'll just most likely be burnt up at the range anyway. I know the Winchester stuff out of the white box has a good bit of fire to it.

    Flame, no flame...big flame...
What difference does it make? Unless perhaps, you're shooting from retention...

Well, if you can't hit them with a bullet, maybe you can burn themto death with the muzzle flash!

I have found the PMC target stuff to light up the night.

Dirty stuff too. You will be in need of a cleaning after shooting too much of that stuff.

Since you never designated which 45, Bladk powder will set clothes on fire from 3 feet.

Muzzleflash is something I check after ammo is reliable in platform and all mags, and checking for POA/POI.

I do want NOT muzzleflash , I want the least in the event low light/no light situations.

Remington seemed to the worst with a bone stock Gov't 1911 last time shooting in low light. Too many variables I suppose with platforms, and barrel lengths. Ammo lots vary too...

What's the purpose of the question ???

What is the purpose of the question ??? Most factory exotic self defense loads use flash suppressant fillers to avoid blinding muzzle flash at night.

Wonder cartridges such as Double Tap do NOT use flash suppressant fillers, therefore you get a nice blow torch out of your blaster at night.

Again, what's the purpose of the question ??

The UMC, or some of their better stuff? Golden Sabers seem to be one of the least flashy rounds I've fired. Never tried the low-end stuff in anything but full sun, though.

Now on a note aside from ammo if you want more flash get a shorter barreled gun for your CCW. Shot a .22 Mag derringer at dusk once, looked like a flame thrower with at least 3+' of fire.
