I handload now, so the price is exponentially lower per round. Course I now shoot a LOT more, so it's a moot point.
Honestly, before I got into reloading, I would pick up boxes of Blazer in 45 and 9mm as it was accurate, cheap and didn't leave a lot of residue when cleaning time came around. Since I wasn't into reloading at the time, and didn't feel like paying for another guy's habit, I saved money by buying aluminum casings. Something to look for when you're buying ball ammo.
Ready to stock up now! Thanks again for all your replies!
I don't think I'm ready to reload my own yet, but maybe some day. :danceban:
I have several online ammo stores bookmarked and I shop around when I need more. I buy in at least 1000 round lots and try to get American brands. I haven't had a single problem yet with nationally known brands.
