Best Buy on 7.62x39 SHTF Ammo.

I'll lie to myself and say my ammo stores are compleate with this last purchase. Just wanted to pass down what I thought was a good deal. $4.49 for a box of 20, free shipping (code 2TURKEY),no tax. Cabellas house brand "hertzers" which is repackaged Wolf ammo. 7.62x39 124 grain HP/FMJ or 154 grain soft point. Comes out to about 22.5 cents a round, I picked up 7000 rounds of the 154 grain soft point. Stock up while you can I have not found cheaper prices especially for the 154 grain soft points. These were tax free and in the future the tax alone could be more than 22.5 cents they sell for now.

Thanks for the info Smith. This is a round I have constantly sought to stock up on as it seems like A:American stuff is EXPENSIVE!!! and B: Who knows how long it will be available at "reasonable" prices.

I have not seen much in the 154 gr variety. What are you shooting this out of and how does it perform? I have heard stories of HP and FMJ essentially being the same thing, but the weights that I usually have acquired are 123 or 124 gr and is brown bear or a one time purchase of some Yugo stuff in a sealed wooden crate.

Bigjon, I'll be shooting this out of a WASR 10/63. I don't pick it up untill the day Obama loses the election, Nov 6th. A buddy of mine has a WASR and has used this round with no problems. It has good reviews at Cabbelas. When you find the 154 grain soft point it is usually considerably more expensive than the 124 grain FMJ/HP.

Im taking a bit of a chance buying 7000 rounds without trying it in my rifle first but I'm willing to gamble. Worst case it will be good for bartering or to sell in the future. Prices of ammo are only going up, that's how "they" will try to controll guns. I now have about 60,000 rounds of various callibers. Of course I still want more and feel this is the minimum to provide a sense of security in our current environment.

AK's eat anything. Relax. If not, you can sell it.

I just checked and the price went up to $6 a box. I hope all got in that wanted it. That was a sweet deal.

My problem has changed. At first, it was I didn't have "enough" ammo, now it's I'm running out of places to put it..

Best Buy on 7.62x39 SHTF Ammo.

I just buy a box of Wolf/Tul every time I'm at Walmart. $5 a 20rd box of poly coated non-corrosive 7.62x39 is just about as good as you'll get online anyway (especially if you have to pay shipping) and FMJ is fine for me and anything I shoot. I like to rotate the ammo that way also.

Just keep your eyes open on-line and elsewhere. You'll find it for about $200 a case on a regular basis, plus or minus.
