The only way you will know is if you find out what works in YOUR pistol.
What works in mine may not work in yours, and vice versa.
So, buy a box and go to the range.
Beyond that--the DPX is one of the better JHP's out there. If your pistol is reliable with it, you should be good.

What he said
My .40 handled everything well but just get a box and try it.
IMHO the DPX is the best round avaliable. I remember a member that went by "Janq" that made an excellent case for DPX. In a rush, or would try to find a link.
Anyone know what happened to Janq? Seems like he always had some good input and was well respected.
OK, it took me awhile to find, but post 11 describes "why the DPX" better than I've ever heard anyone else argue it. A lengthy post, but well worth reading if you are considering the DPX.
DPX VRS Hornady Critical defense
I have no experience with the DPX.
My EMP is not picky about ammo, It runs the Federal PD classic 147gr and the Remington bulk JHP flawlessly.
The federal PD is very accurate out of my EMP, the Remington, HORRID.
That being said, if the DPX works in your gun, it is about as good as it gets.
As I posted in another thread, I recently had 3 FTF in 2 boxes of critical defense.
DPX is what I carry in all of my guns. Like the others have said you have to try it with your gun to see how it works. Personally I like to run at least 100 rounds through my guns when trying a new ammo type. It was quite costly when I tested the DPX but I'd rather spend the money and be confident that my ammo is going to do what it needs to do when I need it to.
It could be good but IMO choosing a carry round is based on performance and cost. If its too costly I won't use it too practice with in occasion.
I use speer gold dots as it has a great reputation and I can get 50 rounds in a box at a lower cost.
I hear they forge DPX rounds out of carbonized $100 bills, though.
Hakkaa päälle!
I would make sure they expanded from the short EMP barrel before I trusted them. I wouldn't be surprised if they underexpanded or only deformed a small amount.
Try not to screw up so bad they name the screw up after you. (Station 15 saying)

I'm not familiar with Corbon DPX rounds, however, I did have an issue with my 9mm EMP; failed to feed most defensive rounds. Tried several different brands including Hornady's, Gold Dot, etc and after 2-3 shots, the next round would not feed. It was getting pretty expensive to keep testing different JHP rounds. Below is a link to the thread about this very same issue that led me to this board.
What's the best defensive ammo for a Springfield EMP in 9mm?
The bottom line: I followed the advice from the thread, sent my EMP to Springfield, they recut and polished the feed ramp, now it works flawlessly with any rounds I put through it. Springfield customer service is awesome if you ever have a problem.
