Ammo recommations for Taurus MILLENNIUM PRO™ 145

Christmas Wish being fulfilled. Anyone had experience with this gun that can provide some advice on Ammo that works well (or doesn't work well) with this weapon? Your experiences and recommendations would be appreciated. Generally I am somewhat partial to Speer Gold Dots for my other guns. Thanks for any comments and suggestions.

Mine has ate over 3500 rounds of every kind of ammo without one problem. Just get prepared people are going to flame you for getting a Taurus. I carry Ranger T's for my defensive ammo.

Try a bunch of stuff and see what it likes. My PT1911 eats anything I run through it.

I have the 745 that I carry with well over 2000 rounds through it. It eats everything.
My son has a 145 that doesn't have that many rounds but so far it eats everything.

I would recommend getting a box of premium defensive ammo from the major ammo makers. They are good, you just need to find the one that functions the best in your pistol. If they all function well, then it will come down to personal preference.

I like the Federal LE 230 gr +P in my defensive .45 ACPs. There are lots of good loads out there to choose from. Generally a lot cheaper online than if you buy locally.

Mine jammed alot. Only FMJ would run better through it; no HP at all!

Sold it and bought a SIG.

The PT-145 is my daily carry. I have not found anything it won't eat. For HD ammo, I've tried HST, PDX-1, Gold Dot, Hydra-Shok, Wolf Gold, and Critical Defense (which is what I'm carrying now).
