    380 ammo

I know its only 380. But for those that own and carry a 380 for sd What type of guns do you carry and what ammo is it stoked with. Do you feel confident in its capabilitys. Do you carry year round. When weather is cooler and the bgs have more clothing on. Just curious on your thoughts on this smaller caliber. My 380 carry is a Bersa thunder 380 with critical defense ammo when I feel like carrying a lighter carry pakage. Stay safe everyone.

After getting my Glock 27, my LCP took the backseat. It's not that I didn't have faith in the 380 round, I just wanted a bigger gun in both physical and caliber size. I haven't had a problem concealing my 27, so my need for the LCP is diminishing. When I did carry, I carried Speer Gold Dots in it.

Kahr P380 with Hydra Shoks or Rem/UMC Leadless FMJ Flat Points depending on the time of the year. FMJ in the cold weather.

I carry .380 corbon 90 gr jhp (not dpx), or gold dots 95. I don't switch to fmj during winter.

    380 ammo

I have an LCP as a backup. Very limited use as a primary. Currently loaded with Gold Dots. It cycles Fed HydraShok and Win PDX1 fine as well. It didn't cycle the Critical Defense reliably. I don't switch loads due to weather and feel just fine about it.

Sig Sauer P238 Equinox with a hogue grip and 7+1 Speer Gold Dots, carried in a Remora holster. Missus Whoppo carries the same, without the hogue grip.

When i carry a .380 its my lcp with critical defense. The .380 has already proven itself as an effective self defense round.

When I carry my LCP it is loaded with Winchester PDX1 or Winchester FMJ in colder months.

Same gun and ammo. I don't carry it very often but I don't feel "under-gunned" when I have it with me.

No longer have a 380, but when I did, I ran Gold Dots and Golden Sabers.

I just carried my 380 today because of what I was wearing; my LCP still comes in handy even though I normally use my G26 or CM9. I keep it loaded with 102gr Golden Sabers.

Oftentimes I find it difficult to carry onything larger than a pocket sized .380 so I drop one in my front pocket loaded with Hornady Critical Defense.
