117gr Aguila JHP 9MM ammo?

Has anyone here tried this ammo? I see you can purchase it for about what you would pay for most FMJ 9mm ammo.

Since I currently use 115 gr FMJ 9MM for target shooting, I thought why not purchase some of these as my target ammo and then everything I have would be hollow point.

What do you think?

I have some of their 380 HP rounds. I don't know about their effectiveness exactly but they are an old style/very simple HP and don't employ the modern designs for expansion.

I bought a box of .45 Aguila JHP and tested it, it failed to expand everyone ive shot never opened up, not sure whats wrong with them ?? but Id say not worth buying IMO... I will test what I have left next spring into either water or some other gel I mix, I currently use clear ballistics gel,

Probably a lot of expansion and not much penetration. I'd pass.

I would get it only if it competes in price with normal range ammo. I have shot plenty of Aguila range ammo without problem.

When I shot the .45ACP Aguila rounds the recoil was so light and soft. it almost felt like a 9mm...
