O.K. guys, thanks for all the good advice. I found that smooth feed today with the following combination:
PMC 230 gr. ball and 185 gr. Golden Saber in both standard and +p loads. Functioned perfectly!
I also left my after market mags home and took the oem mags that came with my weapon.

I've long been a fan of the Golden Saber JHP for feed reliability. There are many other bullets with better ballistics, but the GS JHP is hard to beat for JHP with great feed reliability. Personally, for a carry weapon I'd prefer another 200 ft-lbs and 300 ft/sec, though I just can't bring myself to accept this at the expense of reliability. Am still evaluating alternatives, such as the CorBon Pow'r Ball and others.
