My girlfriend and I carry HST 230 gr in our 45s. She asked me if she could shoot the +P version in her Defender? I said I was pretty sure she could, but wasn't positive? I shoot the standard HST out of my Kimber and I very happy with that round!

I carry and am partial to Federal Hydra Shock for defensive uses. I would stay away from +P ammo with the Defenders aluminum frame. In all honesty there is no need for +P in a .45 ACP.
