Just frees up more ammo for other locations to sell. The ammo that Wamart does not buy, will end up on anther store shelf somewhere else. Laws of supply and demand to not stop because of political posturing. Hell, drugs are illegal, but they still can be found and purchased if wanted. Let them stop selling ammo, won't hurt the marketplace. Where one door closes, one opens soemwhere else.

Guess I wont bother looking at walmart for ammo any more LOL... was nice to pick up a box of 100 value packs for 19.97 for 9mm ...
If Walfart actually sacked up I was going to shop there to support them. Thank goodness they didn't now I do not have to go in there ever.

The Wal mart in our area has ammo on the shelf and so does the base PX. So far we are good to go

Well they were contacted by Obama and told to shut down. They are just bowing down to the master.
I am sure he reminded them Holder works for him.
Freedom was great when we had it.
I call BS on this comment of ammo sales being halted., I was at walmart 1-13-13 and they were stocking up and planned on more to come in, heres the photos.
The 223 being out is because no distributors have it, and not because of a policy change.
Another employee at walmart not knowing whats going on and spouting mis information.
And heres my proof. Notice the cart (photo 3) how full it is of all types of ammo, however no 223.

Man wish our local walmarts sold Blazers and all the other brands I see in that case...
I'm just up the road from Charlotte and my local Walmart shelves are BARE.
I am hoping that the news is wrong about Walmart, but I fear it isn't.
Remember it says Walmart suspending new ammo orders, so what they already have in the warehouse will probably be shipped to the stores.
I doubt that "filled in" their local store employee's if they are going to do this.
I hope it isn't true but with WM being a participant in the Biden talks, it wouldn't surprise me in the least. If it is true, the ammo that would've been on WMs shelves won't necessarily appear on said shelves at the same price that it would've if it had been on their shelves. WM is the cheapest place around on ammo. They will be missed.
I can buy ammo just as cheap at my LGS here as I can at Walfarts.

I love how people scream they'll never shop at Wal Mart again so frequently. I shop at Wal Mart often and wish people will serious when they said they didn't... the lines would be much shorter.
In honesty orders may have been suspended. It would have nothing to do with policies though, Wal Mart is a smart company and isn't going to cause that kind of headache for themselves. It is more likely that ammo manufacturers have refused to sell to Wal Mart at the deflated price Wal Mart demands. Right now they're in a position where they can charge anything they want for their product and would be losing significant money by being forced to sell at lower prices than the market demands. Many companies have to give in to the big blue box's demands, ammo manufacturers don't.
