Someone gave me 25 rounds for my 870 tactical. Can I fire them in my smooth bore? I have already orderd a bunch of different Brenneke slugs for it. Someone told me I could use them, but i would rather get another opinion.

Generally speaking, in a smoothbore shotgun you use rifled slugs.

Yup................use Remington Slugger... in my 500, 870 and 1100....nice.
Rifled slugs are for smooth bore barrels.
Sabot slugs are for rifled barrels.
