I have a Springfield Armory 45ACP and a first year Glock 21 in 45ACP. Both shoot like a dream and I love both. Yes the 45 is a lot softer to shoot than the 40S&W. I also have two 40Cal guns and like both. During this Ammo Shortage of components and Social Ammo I am rotating which ammo I take to the range and carry Socially. This way I should not run out for quite a while. I also have a pair of Twin G-19's that are in the mix.

I may have went 50/50 I didn't see any holes outside of the holes on the actual target, I felt more confident in it than I did with my .40 though today I did put 210rds of .40 down range and did see improvement.
The .45 is a nice round that's for sure.
I just bought a Glock 30SF and find it incredibly easy to shoot. I bought it primarily for hunting, but will undoubtedly use it for carry, too.

It's a slower, heavier bullet. I own both and there definitely is a difference.

I read that even though the .45 is bigger, it is loaded at a lower pressure than the .40 s&w or something like that.
