Accurate #5744 Powder for small pistol rounds

Having a tough time finding powder (and anything else these days!). I do have some Accurate #5744 Smokeless Powder. Description mentions rifle and medium to larger pistol rounds. Question: Is it ok for 32 Auto reloads? If so, great, if not, why? Thanks, Lance

this is the loads that they show for the 32acp. 5744 starts showing up at the 357 maximum tables then skips to the 44 mag. then it goes to the other big boys, i.e. 454 casull, 460 S&W, 475 linebaugh and so on. i use it in 44 mag, but nothing smaller.

I've used Accurate #2 and #9 but never 5744. In their booklet Accurate rates their powders according to burning rates and it looks like 5744 is their fastest rifle powder, extruded as opposed to ball powder that 2, 5 & 9 comes in and has application in handgun silhouette (44 mag and 30 Herrett etc.) 2 and 5 are much faster and designed for smaller cases with lighter bullets like the 32 acp

If you come by the house, I can fix you up with a pound of 231 or HP-38.
