For 1.25 a round they better come with a weapon to shoot them. And I don't even care if it's a Glock or not.
I'm in favor of gun control -- I think every citizen should have control of a gun.

Hey, but if you pick it up locally you can get some great discounts and save on shipping! I bet you could get the per round price down to $1.05!!!

Several years ago, I finally ran out of the last case of 2000rds of 9mm FMJ that I'd purchased from a local reloader. It cost ~$0.06/rd. Almost makes me cry, recalling the price. Good stuff, too.

$1.25/rd is awful. I grit my teeth at $18/50rds, actually.

Hopefully the gun-grabbers' intensity will flag, sometime soon. That's about the only thing I see that'll have any chance of shoring up inventories.

Either that was many years back or he was being very generous. The only way I can think of to get down to 6 cents a round would be to cast my own lead bullets and I darn sure wouldn't want to sell them after that amount of work!

It was mid-to-late 1990's, and I knew it was a great price then. Bought an obscene number of 2000rd cases from him. Ran out of the last of the batch in 2006, IIRC. Yes, it was awhile back. Don't know how he got his costs low enough to offer that price, particularly over so many cases as he sold to me. But I wasn't complaining. It was once-used brass that he'd cleaned up, satisfactory FMJ bullets, good powder, and done on his Dillon 600-series auto presses.

I've heard of better prices on that fancy armor piercing-heat seeking-poison tipped-zombie-vampire-werewolf-untraceable-unobtanium ammo.

That's crazy and I'll mark them as a business I'll never do business with, even when the price crashes.

Last successful Wallyworld purchase of 9mm whitebox was $21 per 100 a couple weeks ago. I picked up 4 boxes of AE today for $14 per 50 and gritted my teeth at that. But I'm running out of practice ammo and don't want to break into the sealed stuff.

Your post got me curious - I've never bought ammo over the 'net (except through tds - I order on net, but pick up in person). So I looked on Cheaper than Dirt. $60 for a 50-rd box of Tul Ammo 9mm! Ammo 9mm TulAmmo FMJ 115 Grain 50 Round Box 1150 fps Made in Russia Polymer Coated Steel Case TA919150

Just wait a little bit longer and you will be saying, "I wish I purchased that ammo back when it was only $1.25 a round. If I had bought it back then, I could have gotten twice as much."

There are a lot of totally ridiculous ammo prices around these days. My LGD doesn't have great inventory but has kept a lid on pricing. Any company I see gouging will get ZERO of my business, even when prices come down.
