380 Solid Copper Hollow Point tests This Week

Took a little different approach on the blog this week and ran a head to head test with Buffalo Barnes and Corbon DPX.

    Full Report:
Pocket Guns and Gear: Buffalo Barnes and Corbon DPX 380 Auto Comparison test

    One expanded well....

    The other not as well.....

Since my personal preference is to practice with carry ammo, the solid copper hollow points are way out of my budget. I do enjoy testing them and sharing the results with those that do like and carry them.

Nice review. The more I see about Buffalo Bore the more I like their offerings. Thanks for posting!

Once again, a demonstration that .380 JHPs do not meet the FBI penetration standard. Fer crying out loud, just use FMJ flat points! You can actually afford to practice with them, too...and ensure they feed in your pistol!
The more good folks carry guns, the fewer shots the crazies can get off.

Kind of makes me wonder if Corbon is doing something during their forming process that may be work-hardening their copper JHPs.
