    New to the firearms world here - fascinating stuff!

    Thanks for this thread, now I know what words the letters stand for. Must I google them individually, or is there a shortcut to where some kind and knowledgeable soul explains what ideas the words stand for? Some I can infer, but draw a blank on many. For example, wads of what, and why would I want to cut them?

    I like how this is an informal reference. You may want some of the standard loads on there, though. Example:
    .45 ACP = Automatic Colt Pistol
    .45 GAP = Glock Automatic Pistol
    Ect.
