    My favorite is a 35 oz. .38 Special K-Frame revolver followed by a 39 oz. full-sized 1911 .45 ACP. I've found myself toting a Colt Detective Special .38 Special weighing 21 oz.

Ammo is always the +P 158 grain lead SWC load, generally Remington or its handloaded equivalent. For .45 ACP it may be Corbon 230 grain JHPs or plain ol' 230 grain ball.

I've had great success with a hand-made .62 cal, tungsten steel alloy, bonded jacket, hollow-point, with a depleted tritium insert, capped with a formulated polymer tip, with a grain weight of 472 grains.....oh and in a +P format that yields about 3,200 feet per second and an air dispersal radius of about 5 meters.

    If I can't find that I'll just use a 45ACP 230 grain HP.

    Bahahahahahahahahah! Just funnin' around.

lately Ive packed my magazine for my glock 27 with the USM40 rounds. They are extremely light and louder than most of the defense rounds that Ive tested at the range. 2000 fps. I just started doing some research to see if I can learn more about them but nice at this point. LOL they look like silver bullets

Federal HST in the heaviest weight for caliber.
    230gr. .45
    180gr. .40
    147gr. 9mm

I would comfortably carry Speer in the same weights.
I would carry Speer short barrel or Buffalo Bore for my J frame.

    Preference:
    • DoubleTap 9mm JHP 124gr +P, GD bullets, or the 147gr +P variety if 124gr is unavailable.
    • DoubleTap .380ACP JHP 95gr, GD bullets, or the 90gr bonded if 95gr is unavailable.
