    Does anyone carry .45GAP?

Im not interested in carrying it or anything, just curious if anyone carries it, and what is your reasoning for carrying it compared to .45acp? Ive done some reading about it, but Im looking for personal reasons why individuals would choose that round over any others.

I don't know anyone who carries the .45 GAP. Do you know anybody who carries a S&W Model 53 in .22 Remington Jet? I want one.

Unless they have changed, the S.C. Highway Patrol carries the 45 gap.The ammo for it maybe easy for them to get i don't know.I see a little of it here and there, but not a lot.

I don't see any anywhere. Not around here. I would think it is mostly a reloaders ammo.

New York State Police, Georgia State Patrol, Pennsylvania State Police, Florida Highway Patrol, and South Carolina Highway Patrol all were using it as of last year and I think all still are today. Why they chose to do so is debatable but budgets and politics always dictate the choice.

I don't think that I've ever seen a box or much less one round of it here in my neck of the woods.

I would carry one if the ammo was more available and easy on the wallet. I like the idea of a 45 in a G26 size gun. I got a XDS45 now.

One of the Wally World's around here stocked some a long while back (I guess in anticipation of demand). Even after the greatest and latest ammo buying frenzy....they are still sitting on the shelf, at least they were when I was last there. Not a popular round at all in my area.

What type of ammo is it, and what is the price? Im just curious. It just seems of all the calibers in the .30-.45cal range, the .45GAP is one of the leat talked about, rarest rounds out there.

Im guess Im just looking to see anyones reasining for carrying such an obscure round.

Isn't that the Glock 36? Same basic dimensions, narrower actually than the G26.

Actually, the 36 is closer to the 19/23 or, in .45GAP, the 38.

The 39 is the sub-compact in .45 GAP and the 37 is the full sized.

I was going to have Gray guns build me a P226 in .45 GAP but since Sig has finally come out with the P227 I see no point to it other than being the only one in the neighborhood with a P226 in .45.
