    Angry Winchester .45 + Taurus 24/7 = BAD!

I decided to hit the range the other day, well on my way there i stopped in the local wal-mart to pick up my normal range ammo. (CCI Brass Blazer) Unfortunantly they didn't have any, so I settled on Winchester White box ammo. Bad move on my part.

The ammo kept hanging up in my gun, 2 misfires out of 100, 1 I ended up having to eject due to the fact it just wouldn't fire on three trigger pulls. After I finished with that mess I walked into the shop and bought 2 boxes of blazers and what a suprise not one issue.

Anyone else had a hang ups like this with just 1 particular brand of ammo?

Different ships, different long splices! My colt will eat WWB all day but has never liked anything from CCI. Always had numerous failures to fire with the stuff. Gave up on it. I reload now anyways!

I have a Taurus PT945 and only shot 1 box of the Winchester through it. But I had no problems at all with the ammo.

My 9mm Beretta PX4 eats everything I give it. Never a hiccup. I practice with WWB and Golden Sabers but I've tried several other types as well.

Every gun/ammo combination is different. Some guns tend to prefer a given bullet. All guns tend to get "in a groove" over time due to a steady diet fed them. My CZ P01 9mm simply loves the DoubleTap +P rounds and Federal Hydrashok Tactical +P+, but can't handle any of the CorBon rounds (unknown reason why). I suspect it's due to the overall length differences, which are extreme. (The DT are longest, followed closely by the Fed, with the shorty CorBons.) Go figure.

I have never had a problem with WWB 45 ACP in my 24/7 Pro but I stopped using it because I got tired of spending over an hour trying to get the power residue out of my barrel with Blue wonder. I use Win Clean now and it has made a huge difference.

I have a PT 145 Pro that has about 400 rounds put through it so far. It feeds anything except for the Winchester 230 grain FMJ bullets. Those ones give me a hell of a time feeding, and like someone else said, they make the barrel dirty as hell. What gives?
