Speed of sound is roughly 1100 fps at sea level.
The 180 gr Ranger T was our issued duty ammo and performed very well for us. Sounds like a pretty good price if it's fresh Ranger T. What's shipping cost add to it?

They are advertised as subsonic, law enforcement ammo. With the speed of sound at a relatively close 760 fps, would these be good defense loads???
I'd be careful buying those as they do have some regular HPs that are subsonic in the Ranger line.

I am doubting that these are the Ranger T. The Ranger T 180gr has the part number of RA40T. I'd email and ask what the part number is for what they are offering.

Oh, and I've also done some business with Jerry. i got exactly what I wanted with no problems at all.

These don't have a T. They are RA40180HP and the others are 155gr.

Try www.sportsmansguide.com I bought a case of 155 grainers in .40. Sometimes they get an overstock or special buy and you can get them cheap. I think I got 500 for about $150 or something like that. May have been about $140.

I use the Ranger RA40T in my Glocks. They work well and are accurate as I am.
