    32 glaser

I am assuming this is a bad idea for a carry round and to stick with the big bore stuff for glaser ?

I almost got some 32 glaser today but though it would better to stick with euro FMJ or powerball or did I miss something good ... I did get some for 44mag as I figured a round that big ...

I wouldn't bother with glaser in any caliber.

Stick to FMJ in anything .380 or below.

    Your assumption is correct.

    As Agalindo said--stick with FMJ.

Yes, .32 is a bad idea for a carry round. Glaser and pow'r ball are also bad ideas for a carry round.

Pepper spray is a good non-lethal deterrent. For lethal force reliable fight stoppers, carry a modern FMJ in a service caliber.

Don't poopoo .32 caliber rounds the guys in law enfocemen in Europe carried them for years. A lot of us carry bugs such as Mauser HSc's or Walther PP's or PPK's in 7.65 (.32) or .380. It wasn't until the late 70's before most European police agencies went to 9mm.

Even James Bond moved up to a .380 AP.

And what did those old time agencies use? FMJ because that's what punched deep and reached the vitals in small caliber guns.

That's true that's why I carry .32 FMJ in my HSc. Bug.

While I am far from a fan of small bore pistols for defense--a .32 would trump pepper spray all day, any day if the user knows what they are about.

At least, in my book, it would.

    FMJ in 32
The police are not there to protect you from crime, they are there to arrest the guy after the crime has been committed, assuming they find him. It is your responsibility to protect yourself and your family.

Did he get a .380 later?

I shot a couple .45acp Glaser rounds into a heavy gauge steel 55 gallon drum to make holes for burning trash (and to see what the Glasers would do), back in the 80s.
They made a nice clean hole through the drum from about 8 feet away. To its credit, the exit hole was a bit larger than the entry hole.
That was my last experience with the "safer" prefrag ammo.

I have a couple boxes of Pow'Rball rounds, but they are also made by 'Cor-Bon' and are compressed #6 shot instead of the #12 shot with silver polymer balls instead of blue balls.
I wouldn't expect anything different from it, so it just gets older every year.
